Patapsco baseball has big comeback to defeat Chesapeake 16-6

Patapsco baseball team started the season 1-0 after a 16-6 home win over Chesapeake on Monday.

The Bayhawks jumped off to a quick 6-2 lead, but the Patriots battled back to end the game on a 10-0 run.

First baseman Matt Herman, second baseman Hunter Layte and shortstop Wilson Smith contributed in the Patapsco comeback.

According to mpssaa.org, starting pitcher Wyatt Perry was credited with the win. He had 10 strikeouts and allowed one earned run.

Cameron Meszaros came in for relief for the Patriots and didn’t allow any runs.

Patapsco will look to go 2-0 at Overlea on Wednesday. Chesapeake will look for their first win at home against Dundalk.
