The Baltimore County Council passed legislation sponsored by Councilman David Marks that requires any new development at the Ebenezer/Philadelphia Road area to be evaluated by the Design Review Panel on Thursday.
This panel includes professional architects.
Any future development here will also need to provide widening along Philadelphia and Ebenezer Roads.
Marks added he is also aggressively pushing to complete the long-delayed Mohrs Lane Bridge connection to reduce congestion in this area.
“Future development in the Ebenezer/Philadelphia Road should be of high quality and visually pleasing,” Marks commented.
“That includes better landscaping and design features that make this area more appealing than we have seen elsewhere.”
