Crews was dispatched to the 700 block of Rockaway Beach Avenue for a reported residential structure fire.
The Essex Volunteer Fire Company reported the Essex fire on Thursday, Jan. 4
Crews first arriving on scene find a two story home with light smoke showing from the 2nd floor.
Crews stretched a 1in 3/4 attack line and gained entry through the front door. After investigation command reported a pot of food on the stove which had caught fire and was quickly extinguished.
Firefighters began setting up for smoke removal while medic crews evaluated two patients. The homeowner was able to return back into their home and no injuries were reported.
