Essex Shooting Reported on Cape May

The Baltimore County Police Department continues investigating the circumstances surrounding an Essex shooting that occurred shortly before 12:45 a.m., on Tuesday, April 11.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Cape May Road for reports of shots fired. When they arrived at the location, no victim was located. Shortly after, officers received another call that a 14-year-old victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

The injured teen was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition. Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this case.
