Fire crews extinguished a dumpster fire last night in Dundalk

According to the Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company, units were dispatched for a reported commercial building fire at Midway Lumber on North Point Boulevard.

Crews arrived after 8:30 p.m. on Monday and discovered a dumpster fire behind a residence located to the rear of the store.

The incident was downgraded as it was determined the fire was confined to the dumpster and posed no threat to nearby structures.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and checked for any extension before clearing the scene.
