Local art students honored at BCPS High School Art Exhibition

Student artists from 13 high schools were honored for their work and talent during a June 4 reception and awards ceremony for Baltimore County Public Schools’ 38th Annual High School Art Exhibition.

The juried exhibition featured the work of 124 student artists from all 24 comprehensive high schools, the Online Learning Program, and the three public separate day schools.

The following awards were presented to local student from eastern Baltimore County high schools:

The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts, a licensed educational institution teaching audio, video, and technology, also announced the following scholarships to local students:

Sheffield is accepting applications from 2026 BCPS graduates until July 1 for a full-ride scholarship.

The student artwork will be on display from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and
8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Fridays, through Friday, July 31. at the Towson University StarTUp at The Armory, 307 Washington Ave. in Towson.

Once this exhibition has completed at The StarTUp, selected artworks will travel to other venues for up to a year.

“The 38th Annual High School Art Exhibition highlights the unwavering dedication and creativity of BCPS students and their art educators, showcasing BCPS’ steadfast support for a robust, culturally responsive
visual arts education,” said Ryan Twentey, a specialist in the BCPS Office of Integrated Arts.
