A pedestrian accident was reported in Essex on Friday night.
According to the Essex Volunteer Fire Company, its crews were dispatched to the 200 block of Back River Neck Road for a pedestrian struck at 8:52 p.m.
The patient was transported by medics to an area trauma center for evaluation and the scene was handed over to Baltimore County Police.
Back River Neck Road was closed during the incident.
