The following press release was submitted by the Office of Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger
Demetris Tyron Hollis, 21, and Deandre Antoine Wright, 21, were both sentenced in the Baltimore County Circuit Court to Life without the possibility of parole for First Degree Murder.
On November 12, 2022, the Baltimore County Police were called to the 9900 block of Berliner Place Two Men Sentenced After Middle River Murder in 2022 on the report of shots fired.
There, the police found Tyran Caulk lying behind his car deceased as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses had seen two people pursuing Mr. Caulk around his vehicle firing at him. After he fell, one of the two stepped up to the victim and fired another shot to his head. Property was stolen from Mr. Caulk. Over a dozen shell casings were found at the scene of the murder.
The investigation by the Homicide Division of the Baltimore County Police determined that Wright had communicated through social media with the victim to meet at the location Mr. Caulk was later found dead. In addition, Wright and Hollis had communicated by social media to arrange to both be present to rob Mr. Caulk.
The police also recovered the ghost guns used to carry out the murder and linked the cell phones of Wright and Hollis to the scene of the crime.
Both Wright and Hollis had been convicted by a jury on February 11, 2025 of First Degree Felony Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime of Violence and Armed Robbery.
State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger offered his appreciation to Stacy Amparo and Dylan Gerry for their work “in getting Wright and Hollis convicted” and to the Baltimore County Police for “the excellent investigation of these crimes”.
Judge Jan Marshall Alexander imposed sentences of Life without the possibility of parole because of the outrageous nature of the crimes and the prior involvement of each Defendant in the criminal justice system.
