Three Local Schools Win Playoff Games; Dundalk Gets Upset

The first round of the playoffs are over and only three local teams (Perry Hall, Sparrows Point and Chesapeake) are left. One of those teams that didn’t survive their first playoff game was Dundalk. Here is a recap from last weekend.

Meade 35 Dundalk 12
For the second year in a row, Dundalk hosted Meade of Anne Arundel County and for the second straight year, Dundalk fell behind by double digits.

Dundalk was able to come back from a 13-0 deficit in 2024, but they fell behind to Meade 22-0 this year and couldn’t get back in the game this time.

Dundalk quarterback Logan Alderson ran for one touchdown and threw for another, but Meade returned an interception for a touchdown.

Perry Hall 41 Kenwood 16
Perry Hall and Kenwood renewed their rivalry in the postseason as the Gators picked up a win.

Perry Hall has won five straight and six out of their last seven.
The team is back home in the second round against Dulaney on Friday at 5 p.m.

The game is set for Friday at 4 p.m.
Perry Hall won at Dulaney during the regular season.

Woodlawn 14 Parkville 6
The Knights season came to an end when they lost to Woodlawn last Thursday.

City 48 Patapsco 0
Patapsco hosted their first playoff game in school history, but City was able to break off big runs in their win.

Towson 29 Overlea 20
The Falcons lost to Towson at a game played at CCBC Catonsville.

CM Wright 36 Eastern Tech 15
The Mavericks made their first playoff appearance in three years but their season came to an end in Harford County.

Chesapeake 20 Forest Park 18
The Bayhawks won a playoff road game over Forest Park. Chesapeake will have a challenge in the second round as they play at state power Dunbar on Friday at 6 p.m.

Sparrows Point 43 Surrattsville 6
Sparrows Point continues their perfect season with a first round win over a Prince George’s County school. The Pointers will host Central on Friday at 6 p.m.
