Flag football is coming a Baltimore County Public School near you.
The Baltimore Ravens and Under Armour announced partnered with Baltimore County Public Schools and St. Mary’s County Public Schools to provide grant funding and uniforms to further develop high school girls flag football in the fall of 2026 for 27 schools.
It appears that all schools could participate as there are 24 BCPS schools and 3 public schools in St. Mary’s County.
High school girls flag football has been popular throughout the state since it started in Maryland. The 27 new Baltimore and St. Mary’s counties schools increases total participation to 132 high schools statewide.
This program was launched in 2023 with all 10 public high schools in Frederick County participating in its inaugural season.
Baltimore City, Calvert County, Charles County, Howard County, Montgomery, Prince George’s County and Washington County have joined the program within the last two years.
According to a Ravens press release, all 27 new schools will receive $10,000 each for start costs for items such as equipment and uniforms.
“As we enter the fourth year of girls high school flag football in Maryland, we’re proud to partner with Baltimore County, home of our Under Armour Performance Center,” Ravens senior vice president of marketing Brad Downs stated.
It is still in the early stages and no schedule has been released but flag football games in Baltimore City and other counties took place during mid-week last fall.
