Marks announces grant to improve Bowleys Quarters hall

The following article was submitted by Councilman David Marks about a grant for the Bowleys Quarters hall.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks announced that the Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association will receive grant funding to complete lighting and signage upgrades at its community hall. The grant is worth about $30,000 and is funded through the Department of Planning.

The BQIA hall, located at 1124 Bowleys Quarters Road, holds community meetings, dinners, and other local events.  The association celebrated its 85th birthday in 2024.

“Over the past four years, the Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association has received tens of thousands of dollars to upgrade much of this community hall,” Councilman Marks commented.

“Additionally, we were able to support the restoration of the Oliver Beach community hall following a fire in 2025.  I thank all those in Baltimore County Government who made this possible.”

“BQIA greatly appreciates Baltimore County’s continued support and investment in this hall, allowing us to provide benefit to the community,” added President Mary Muth.
