Honeygo Elementary and local officials honor members of the 2025/2026 Patriots and Defenders
“The Patriots and Defenders program tasks students with learning, memorizing and reciting important facts about citizenship, history, and geography. The fourth and fifth graders who completed the program were honored tonight at our annual awards dinner. Bravo to these students,” said a statement from Honeygo
Baltimore County Councilman David Marks, who began this program at Honeygo, attended the event along with Senator J.B. Jennings, Ryan Nawrocki and Kathy Szeliga.
“Tonight, we honored fourth- and fifth-grade students who learned about citizenship, history, and geography. I started the Patriots and Defenders program here in 2019, and it has been led by Erin Ross and volunteers at Honeygo ever since,” Marks said
“A special thank you to Ms. Ross for her amazing six years, and to all those who make this possible.”
