“Anyone But” sign draws community attention
I won’t mention the candidate’s name or the race but there was a sign on social media that took a candidate’s campaign sign and put the phrase “Anyone But” above the name.
There are three explanations.
The first and most likely, a picture was taken of the sign and the phrase “Anyone But” was added to the picture by photoshop.
The second scenario is the sign is real and the candidate created the sign to create buzz and call attention.
The third and worst case scenario is that the sign is real and created by the candidate’s opponents.
Since artwork and the candidate’s authority line were used, that would be a major campaign violation. Let’s hope that is not the case.
Republican endorsed by the Sierra Club
The environmental Sierra Club handed out its endorsements and many Democrats picked up endorsements – Izzy Patoka for County Executive, Delegate Nick Allen and Senator Carl Jackson just to name a few.
One person that received the endorsement by the Greater Baltimore Group of the Sierra Club was 5th District Republican Councilman David Marks.

“I am honored to have support from so many local residents who care about preserving our environment, and on Earth Week, the endorsement of the local affiliate of our country’s oldest conservation organization,” Marks commented.
“My record on the environment is very clear: we’ve brought people together to preserve open space, advance new parks, and fight pollution in our waterways.”
