The following statement was released by the Maryland Department of Environment concerning the air quality around Owl Metals in Dundalk after the fire
“Air quality near the recycling facility fire in Dundalk can be expected to vary based on weather, the time of day, with the higher concentrations of pollution expected evening through daybreak and the ongoing fire activity itself.
“Sensitive groups in the area of the fire should avoid outdoor activities and everyone in the area should limit strenuous outdoor activities.”
