Clean Bread and Cheese Creek is holding a cleanup on July 6, at three War of 1812 Monuments: Battle Acre Park, North Point Battlefield Park, and the Methodist Meeting House Monument. The cleanup takes place from 8 to noon.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. and is located Battle Acre Park, 3115 S North Point Road in Dundalk. Look for the “Clean Bread and Cheese Creek” Banners.
“This Saturday (July 6th) We can certainly use all as many volunteers as possible of all ages and abilities and we look forward to the possibility of working with you,” said a statement from Clean Bread and Chesse Creek.
“We are all aware of the importance of our community’s history and particularly the important role it played during the War of 1812, Battle of North Point. The importance of preserving this history cannot be overstated. This event will be run in conjunction National Public Lands Day.”
The cleanups are run as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. The group welcomes every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup.
