Baltimore County Rec and Parks is cutting a ribbon to celebrate upgrades to Essex Field at Renaissance Park, 99 Stemmers Run Road in Essex.
Additions include a new synthetic turf field, an energy efficient LED field lighting system, permanent seating stands, and a scoreboard.
The ribbon cutting will take place on on Monday, July 8 at 10 a.m. with Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Councilman Todd K. Crandell, Director of Recreation and Parks Bob F. Smith, and Carrie LeBow, CEO for the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
