The tragic Key Bridge Collapse isn’t just the biggest story in eastern Baltimore County, it has to be the biggest story in all of the Baltimore region and Maryland.
It will probably be the biggest local story of the decade and we are only halfway through the 2020’s (Well it will probably be second to COVID) It’s been over six months and we are still mouring the loss of six workers and our iconic bridge.
The bridge was struck early in the morning on March 26 by the M/V Dali which remained onsite until May
Clean up took months as the Port of Baltimore was closed for a few months.
When we heard the reports of the Key Bridge collapse on that March morning , we didn’t believe it at first, until we saw the video.
Traffic is a nightmare and the rest of the decade will hopefully end with a new replacement bridge. The new bridge is expected to open in 2028.
