Dundalk Heritage Fair Ends After 49 Years

The Heritage Fair is no more as the Dundalk Heritage Fair Association announced the 4th of July festival is ending. It started in 1976.

“After 49 years of celebrating the 4th of July, the Heritage Fair Association of Dundalk Inc. is ceasing operations and ending the Dundalk Heritage Fair. The 2025 Fair has been cancelled,” said a statement from the organization.

The statement also said local support for the event has declined the past few years with less volunteers and patrons. That resulted in less revenue.

“Unfortunately, the current economic uncertainties have thwarted our efforts to identify new sponsors. This has rendered the Fair no longer financially viable.”

The Independence Day Parade is a separate entity and will continue in Dundalk on the morning of July 4th.

The Board of Directors of the Heritage Association stated it is working with other community organizations to help continue the Dundalk Fireworks and Dundalk Heritage Independence 6K.
