Kids Fishing Day Has Another Sucessful Year in Middle River

The Essex-Middle River Fishing Club held its annual kids day fishing tournament on Saturday at Wilson Point Park.

Kids were provided with a free fishing rod, accessories and bait. Everyone was provided with lunch and drinks after the event.

Kids were given prizes for the biggest and most fish caught in the day.

“We had a fantastic turnout today the weather was perfect and plenty of fish were caught by all! The kids and parents did an excellent job catching a lot of fish! The club members who volunteer their time we can’t thank you enough,” said a statement from the Fishing Club.

“Thank you Captain Doug Collison of Back Draft Charters for donating a fishing trip for 10 kids and one parent each. Thank you Bluefin’s bait and tackle and Bowley’s bait and tackle for donating bait, tackle and ice.”

The Essex-Middle River Fishing Club meets the third Tuesday every month and it looking for new members.
