Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, County Councilman David Marks Delegate Kathy Szeliga Director Bryan Sheppard, members of the Recreation and Parks Board, representatives from Senator J.B. Jennings office and Baltimore County Council candidate Josh Sines attended a ribbon-cutting for the new playground at Eastern Regional Park in Middle River on Saturday.
According to Marks, This new playground isfully ADA-compliant.
“This beautiful playground has many features for children with disabilities. It’s the latest in a series of new playgrounds in our district stretching from Belmont Park to Middle River.” Marks said.
Jennings didn’t attend the ceremony but said the playground is much needed for the community.
“Eastern Regional Park will be an incredible asset for families and children across our community for generations to come. I was especially honored to hear Director Sheppard share his excitement about the upcoming improvements at Seneca that I was able to secure funding for during this legislative session,” Jennings said.
“Every child deserves a place to play, and investments like these help ensure no one is left out. Building inclusive spaces strengthens our entire community.”
