Marks Addresses Bowleys Quarters Project

The following statement was released by County Councilman David Marks about the Bowleys Quarters sewer project that has caused traffic issues in the area.

If you live or work in Bowleys Quarters, please be mindful of the second part of the sewer project that will occur from Tuesday to Thursday on westbound Carroll Island Road near the Walmart entrance. One lane will be closed, and the other will be open.The more intense work finished around 10 p.m. Friday night.

We will continue to press for better management of the traffic queues – and, in fact, the second day seemed to run more efficiently after multiple calls to the Department of Public Works.

I will also be submitting legislation requiring better notification of projects so we never have a repeat of last week.
