Middle River Aviation Museum Train Garden Opens Nov. 25

The Free Holiday Plane and Train Garden presented by the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum opens for its 2023 holiday season on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 11:30 a.m. at 2323 Eastern Blvd. in Middle River.

It is open Wednesdays, Saturday and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Sunday, Jan. 7.

Opening ceremonies with regional representatives include bell ringing of the historical bell from Wilson Point’s Church of the Ascension.

This one of a kind handmade garden created by the Museum’s train crew is the Museum’s holiday gift to the region and includes favorites of last year’s garden, added by new ones, including the Assateague Island Light House, an ice show in the CFG Bank Arena, Richardsons, and the World War II Martin B-26 assembly plant.

The popular hunt for visitors to search for specific characters in the Garden returns this year. Several aviation history exhibits can be seen by visitors including a Pietenpol Aircraft. The Museum’s Gift Shop will be offering merchandise for purchasing aviation gift lists.

A photo ID is required for adult entry to the building. Smiles and holiday joy will be shared by all ages exploring this magical exhibit that transports visitors to their favorite holiday memories. Admission is free.

Donations always appreciated. Food trucks on site for opening day. For more information, visit www.mdairmuseum.org.
