New Replacement Playground Opens at Honeygo Park

Local Officials Cut Ribbon to New Honeygo Park Playground
Baltimore County Executive Klausmeier, Baltimore County Councilman David Marks Legislators from Districts 7 and 8
attended the ribbon cutting of the new Honeygo Park replacement playground on Saturday.

Marks said Honeygo Run Regional Park is the 60th in Baltimore County to be replaced since 2022.

“It was a pleasure to join County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, Senator Carl Jackson, Delegate Harry Bhandari and Delegate Ryan Nawrocki , and parents and recreation volunteers today – as well as many kids eager to play,” Mark said.

Belmont Seven Courts and Snyder Lane parks were also replaced and many more on the schedule.

“New playgrounds are funded for replacement at Cowenton Ridge Park, Miami Beach Park, Eastern Regional Park, and the Loreley Community Center. The proposed budget includes funding to replace playgrounds at Andrea Avenue and Kingsville Park,” Marks added.

Delegate Carl Jackson said new parks are great for the community.

“Providing more activities for kids in Baltimore County has been a longstanding goal of mine, and each time I get the opportunity to attend an event like this one, I am reminded how important new parks and playgrounds truly are to our residents,” said Delegate Carl Jackson.

Delegate Ryan Nawrocki said investing in safe, fun spaces for families is a great way to strengthen communities.

“I was honored to join Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, Senator Carl Jackson, Delegate Harry Bhandari, Baltimore County Councilman David Marks, and many parents, recreation volunteers, and excited kids to help cut the ribbon on the brand new playground at Honeygo Run Regional Park”
