Parents teachers and students returning to some Perry Hall schools this week may have noticed some upgrades to the different BCPS campuses.
First, the entrance to Perry Hall High School saw some improvements as new curbs and handicap sidewalks were added to the driveways of the school.
Over at Perry Hall Elementary School, new basketball backboards and rims were added to the school courts. This was part of
Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks plan to update aging basketball equipment at more than 175 outdoor sites across Baltimore County.
Joppaview Elementary in the Perry Hall area also saw new backboards and rims installed at their basketball court and the school received a new digital marquee sign from the school PTA.
Fifth District Councilman David Marks said these upgrades were made for both the schools and the Perry Hall neighborhoods.
“Our office has pushed very hard for curb upgrades throughout this corridor to accommodate not only disabled residents, but many seniors who live along Ebenezer Road,” Marks said.
“We’ve also generally pushed for improvements to allow for more basketball and pickleball, two fast-growing activities. I would like to thank the County Council and Executive and our School Board for their support.”
