Marks applauds data center moratorium & volunteer firefighter legislation passed

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks applauded the County Council’s passage of several pieces of legislation he sponsored or cosponsored:

• Legislation that extends the data center moratorium in Baltimore County to December 2027;

• A bill that makes it easier for Baltimore County Government to donate equipment to volunteer fire companies;

• Legislation to better define the oversight role of the office of Inspector General; and

• A resolution that directs the Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation to make recommendation to improve rural road safety.

“I thank my colleagues for passing this legislation in a bipartisan, unanimous vote,” Councilman Marks commented. 

“I also thank those residents who supported the legislation, including community leaders and the members of our volunteer fire companies.  These bills represent a package of good government and public safety measures that will be positive for Baltimore County.”
