Dundalk Dominates Perry Hall in 2nd Half for 41-21 Win

Dundalk was clinging to a seven point lead in the second half and Perry Hall had the ball. Owl defender Darryl Reid decided to take over the game and help his team in a 49-21 victory.

Reid had an interception return to setup up a touchdown and then he blocked a Perry Hall punt and recovered it to setup another touchdown in the win. Owl running back Kam Briscoe capitalized on Reid’s turnovers as he scored on both touchdowns.

Dundalk’s offense was led by quarterback Logan Alderson. The Sparrows Point transfer was responsible for all the scoring in the first half.

Alderson had a rushing touchdown and threw a two touchdown passes to Robert Smith, including a 59 yard touchdown before the end of the half.

Perry Hall’s offense was led by Noah Williams three touchdown runs. One of the runs was 86 yards. Williams had over 150 yards rushing.

Perry Hall quarterback Joey Albrecht kept his team in the game with passes to Eyob Menkir and Mykhi Jackson.

It appeared the Gators were starting to regain the momentum in the second quarter. Williams tied the game 14-14 with his long run and then Daesuan Wilson had an interception return to midfield for the Gators.

Perry Hall’s offense drove downfield but missed a field goal. Then Alderson connected with Smith to put Dundalk up 21-14 before halftime.

Perry Hall won’t score again until late in the fourth quarter. In addition to Reid’s turnovers, Carter Pryer added a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown for the Owls.

After starting 0-2, Dundalk has won three straight games to improve to 3-2. Perry Hall falls to 1-4, with their only win over Parkville last week.
