Baltimore County Fire and Hazmat crews successfully managed a difficult fire at the defunct CP Crane generating station in the 1000 block of Carroll Island Road in Middle River on Tuesday, July 19.
The fire involved titanium machinery. Titanium burns at extremely high temperatures & cannot be extinguished with water.
The fire was reported at 10:12 a.m. and no injuries were reported.
