Clean Bread and Cheese Creek (CBCC) community cleanups received the “Outstanding Service ans Community Impact” award from the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation for collecting toys for local children in need each year.
CBCC founder John Long was he was deeply honored to receive the award.
“Over these last ten years I have always shrived to collect more toys then the previous year and so far I have been successful and I want to continue this tradition s long as I can,” Long said in a statement.
“But I certainly could never do this alone, it is with the help of so many incredible business allowing me to place donations boxes in their lobbies. For years, The Angle Inn, Baltimore MD, The Boulevard Diner, The Canton Corner Barbershop, Alexander’s Tavern Fells Point, Joanna’s Cafe, Blarneystone Maryland, Alexander’s Tavern Fells Point, The Essex Diner, Collectors Corner, Beanie’s Ice Cream & Candy Parlor, Irina’s Crepes Cafe and Lemmon Funeral Home of Hunt Valley have all worked me to give so many children a magical holiday season and we certainly can forget the overwhelming generosity of the community for fills those boxes.”
Long is already looking forward to this year’s toy drive as the holiday season is approaching.
“This year we need to do it again, so if you own a business or know a business owner willing to help, please reach out to me, the more people helping, the more smile there will be Christmas Morning,” Long added.
