Is there still hope for the Heritage Fair in Dundalk?
The Heritage Fair Association announced last week it was ending the Dundalk fair after 49 years, but is there an opportunity to save the Heritage Fair?
Another statement was released by the Heritage Fair Association stating that they would “love to come together again this year (and possibly beyond)” but over $30,000 and 100 volunteers are needed from the community. Here is the latest statement;
“The board and volunteers of the Dundalk Heritage Fair would like to thank you all SO much for your overwhelming response to the announcement regarding this year’s fair. Those of you who shared memories and recommendations/support are why all of us have worked year-round to ensure that this annual event takes place in the great community of Dundalk.
“We would love to come together again this year (and possibly beyond), but it would take no less than $30,000 and 100 new volunteers.
“Many of you have posted that you would have volunteered if you knew about the need, and we absolutely would need additional volunteers in the areas of operations, security, electric, and especially tear down day. If we can do this, and we mean if, maybe we can continue the Country’s Greatest 3 Day Celebration!
“We would love to make this a reality! So, come on, Dundalk (and beyond)! We heard you loud and clear! Let’s see this community come together and make it happen!
