Baltimore County Council Todd Crandell announced that he and has fellows six Baltimore County Councilmembers passed a resolution in support of Baltimore City’s decision to not allow the treatment of toxic water from an Ohio train derailment.

“The County Council just convened an Emergency Legislative Session in which we unanimously passed Resolution 5-23. This resolution 1) expresses the Council’s support of Mayor Scott’s decision to deny the request that contaminated water be discharged here, 2) requests that such future requests of this nature be denied, and 3) urges Federal, State, and local officials to work collaboratively to resolve the systemic issues at Back River and Patapsco WWTP’s,” Crandell wrote in a statement
