Dundalk Community Advocate Patricia Paul Has Died

Dundalk community advocate and local historian Patricia Paul passed away Saturday, Aug. 24 at the age of 70. She was a descendent of the Stansbury family.

According to Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, Patricia graduated from Patapsco High School in 1972 and from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1977 with a BA in Education/History.

She was known in the community for trying to preserve the importance of the Battle of North Point during the War of 1812. That included involvement in Defender’s Day activities. She also working on a proposed trail to attract tourism and for an educational resource for local schools.

Patricia was also known for preserving green spaces, especially at Stansbury Park in Dundalk.

A viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, P.A. on Thursday Aug. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. She will be interred on Friday, Aug. 30 at Oaklawn Cemetery.
