Essex Tree Lighting Returns Saturday

The Essex Community Tree Lighting is returning again this holiday season and will be held by the Essex Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River, Inc. at 516 Eastern Blvd. in Essex on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event will include photo opportunities with Santa, fire trucks, a DJ with holiday music, hot cocoa, gifts for the kids and more. Santa will arrive courtesy of the Essex Volunteer Fire Company around 5:30 p.m.

Special guests include Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski, Jr., Baltimore County Council Chair Julian Jones, Senator Johnny Ray Salling, Delegate Ric Metzgar and other local elected officials.
