Fort Howard Post Office to Close

The Fort Howard Post Office announced it will close on Friday. Sept. 15 due to a termination of its current lease.

The Fort Howard Post Office is located 9200 Howard Avenue and residents of the 21052 zip code will sent to the Dundalk Post Office at 44 Shipping Place, Dundalk, MD 21222.

Retail operations and P.O. Box service at the Dundalk site for Fort Howard residents will be available for pick-up beginning on Monday, Sept. 18.

This has angered many residents leaving in the Fort Howard area.

Congressman Kweisi Mfume, who represents the Fort Howard area, sent a letter to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy regarding the recently announced closure of the Fort Howard Post Office located at 9200 Howard Avenue, Fort Howard, Maryland 21052.

This letter requests an immediate update on the plan for mail delivery going forward and information for the community.
