Dundalk Defeats Perry Hall 27 to 6

The Dundalk Owls improved to 3-0 on the season after a hard-fought Friday night victory at Perry Hall.

The Gators hung tough with Dundalk as they scored a touchdown on their opening possession.

The score was tied 6 to 6 at halftime but the Owls got their running game going in the second half as the offense scored three touchdowns.

Owl Running backs Jordan Florenza and Joey Kasprzak broke back-to-back 30 yard runs to start the 3rd Quarter. Kasprzak’s run resulted in one of his two touchdowns on the night. Florenza also had a touchdown.

Perry Hall did generate some offense into the redzone in the second half with Gator quarterback Da’Shaun Conway runs, but those drives ended on downs and after Dundalk defender Desmond Oxendine caused a fumble. Dundalk’s Kamauri Cunningham caused a sack and fumble of the Perry Hall quarterback in the closing minutes. The Owl defense was led by Dajuan Jones three sacks. Samuel Boaki had a sack for Perry Hall.

Perry Hall receiver Corey Costner had a big night. He caught a 46 yard-touchdown reception on the opening possession and had another big play of 54 yards in the first quarter catch that resulted in a Gator redzone trip.

Perry Hall was up 6 to 0 and looking to add more but the next possession also ended on downs. Perry Hall was 0 for 3 in redzone appearances on the night.

Owl quarterback Ja Bonner was able to carry the offense in the first half as he threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Dale Martin in the second quarter.
