The National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington reports that more heat today with increased humidity as well. This will provide plenty of instability for afternoon thunderstorms ahead of an approaching cold front. Some storms may be severe, with the primary threat being damaging wind gusts.

The National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington issued a heat advisory for much of the area between noon and 8 p.m today. Heat index values this afternoon will range between 100-105 degrees. Motorist Rescued From Entrapment After Crash in White Marsh
